Course Description
This is a two-hour self-paced distance based course designed to assist health care providers in identifying and managing the medical legal risks associated with staff interactions with patients. Areas of potential risk from employee interactions are explored with additional information on reducing or eliminating these risks.

Evaluation
The learner’s time spent studying course materials is tracked electronically. A formal multiple-choice examination is administered at the termination of the course materials. There will be at least three questions for every hour of the class. The learner must score 75% to receive credit for the course. Learners not achieving the pass rate will be directed to additional study by the instructor and allowed to re-take the examination.

Objectives
In this course the learner will:
- Understand what professional boundary issues entail in chiropractic practice as this topic relates to staff members.
- Identify the roles of support staff in relation to improving risk management.
- Explore the concept of staff training as a method to reduce medical legal risks.
